Getting started

Is Vertal Strike free?
Yes. Vertal Strike is Free to Play on Steam. Download it and you're in.

What platforms are supported?
Windows and Linux right now. An Android mobile build is on the roadmap for later in 2026.

Do I need a Steam account?
Yes, a free Steam account is required to play. Steam handles sign-in and payments for optional in-game purchases.

How do I install it?
Open the Steam store page, click Install, wait for the download, and launch from your Steam library.

Gameplay

How many players per match?
Up to 5v5 in Team Deathmatch and team modes, up to 10 players in Free-for-All. Empty slots can fill with bots.

What game modes are there?
Team Deathmatch, Free for All, Capture the Flag, Demolition, Elimination. More details on the Game Modes section.

How many maps?
Six in rotation: Desert Arena, Cartoon City, Tropical City, Fantasy Arena, Farm, Megapolis. More planned.

Can I play with bots only?
Yes. When creating a custom room, Bots are enabled by default. You can also host a fully private bot match.

Are the weapons pay-to-win?
No. All weapons are sidegrades. You can unlock every weapon by levelling up through normal play. Gold coin purchases are for convenience or cosmetics only.

Technical

What are the system requirements?
Any modern Windows 10/11 or Linux PC with a dedicated GPU. Minimum specs are modest because the game runs on a low-poly Unity build.

The game won't start after install — what do I do?
Make sure Steam is running and you launched from the library (not by double-clicking the .exe directly). If the problem persists, send us a log via Discord.

I was banned by mistake.
Reach out at info@vertalstrike.com with your Steam profile link. Our anti-cheat logs every action and appeals are reviewed within 48 hours.

Is there cross-play?
Windows and Linux players share the same matchmaking pool. Mobile cross-play is planned alongside the Android release.
